5th PSA title for Zahed Mohamed

With a total prize fund of $25,000 on offer at this PSA M25 event, and after six days action packed squash, pre-tournament favourite and top seed, Karakal's Zahed Mohammed emerged as champion of the 2018 Chamberlain Squash Open at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, in Lagos, Nigeria defeating fellow Egyptian Youssef Soliman 3-0 to lift the mens title.

Speaking after his triumph, an elated Zahed described his journey to victory as "very encouraging", saying he was "looking forward to other PSA sanctioned tournaments across the globe", and going on to thank the organisers of the tournament for the initiative and said "it would help grow the game of Squash in Nigeria".

In his remarks at the closing ceremony, the Promoter of CSO, Chamberlain Usoh thanked all the players for exhibiting high level of good sportsmanship. He also appreciated the Lagos State Government, sponsors of the tournament, the Squash community and fans of the sport for attending the event.

England's Millie Tomlinson claimed the Ladies event with a 3-0 win over Menna Hamed from Egypt.
