August’s ‘Festival of Squash’ continues in Manchester this week as the PSA World Tour returns to the National Squash Centre.

Following on from last week’s British Nationals, an international field is assembled for the third edition of the Manchester Squash Open, this time as a men’s and women’s PSA Silver event with $85,000 prize money on offer in both draws.

Day One features sixteen first round matches on two courts, with the winners progressing to matches against the seeded players on day two.

Newly crowned British Champion Joel Makin leads the Karakal challenge along with Tesni Evans, Tom Richards and Greg Lobban. As seeded players Joel and Tesni enjoy first round byes, but Tom and Greg will be in action in today's first round. Tom plays Eain Yow Ng of Malaysia whilst Greg faces England's George Parker.
