Karim Ali Fathi : WR 46
Karim, who now trains in England, signed to Karakal in 2016. After a stellar junior career, which included three Egyptian National titles at U11, U13, U17 and two British Junior Opens at U13 and U15, Karim has been rapidly making a name for himself on the professional tour and has already gained a number of PSA World Tour wins.
Karim's first Tour Title came at the 2012 Rocafort Open where, although unseeded, he toppled the top seed Julien Balbo. Four more titles followed in the same year including the London Open in November where, he was again unseeded. This impressive form continued in 2013 and after picking up the Madison Open crown, Karim moved into the world's top 40. Another win in 2014 at the Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit 6 was followed by consistent performances in 2015 with four quarter-finals and two semi-finals. Karim also reached the last 16 at the 2015 World Open, beating Peter Barker and Fares Desouki in the process.
June 2017 saw Karim Ali Fathi claim the 10th PSA World Tour title of his career as he defeated Mexico’s Arturo Salazar in the final of the Costa Rica Open in San Jose. Karim came through the four games M15 final, 11-2, 10-12, 11-7, 11-3, to claim his first PSA title since 2014. After his victory the delighted Egyptian Tweeted "Won my 10th title here in Costa Rica. It is my 1st title in 3 years and also my biggest title".
