Miko Aijanen : WR 108

Jarvenpaa born Miko Aijanen was literally introduced to squash before he could walk. Both parents were keen squash players and they would take the little Miko and his bigger brother Jami along to the courts with them. Now the brothers are regulars on the PSA World Tour.

"I started playing squash when I was little" explained Miko, "I used to go to the club when I didn’t even know how to walk, because both of my parents played squash. I think started taking squash more seriously before going to school". The brother share a heathy rivalry. "I have always trained with my brother, even though we don’t like to train with each other. I think that it is because we are so competitive. We both have always played for the same club JSK which is also our home club".

In addition to appearances at PSA Tour events Miko plays in the Swedish league for Skelleftea, and the German league for Bremen. "At the moment I am not studying or working" he continues "so I am putting all my focus to squash".

Miko lists his biggest achievements so far as, Helsinki Suez Summer Challenger 2015 1st place, a European Team Championships 2015 2nd place and 2nd place at the 2017 BCS Russian Open. "My goal this season is to break the top 100 in the PSA rankings".
