Tom Richards : WR 23

Born in Guildford, Tom Richards is an English professional squash player who has represent his Nation at the very highest level of the game including hitting the winning shot, in the final against Spain, to make England the 2019 Men's European Team Champions!

After turning professional at the tender age of 18-years-old, Tom captured his first PSA World Tour title in 2008, at the Hithercroft Squash Club tournament and went on to add the Kish Persian Cup and Seegarten Vitis Open in 2019.

A PSA M35 title followed in 2012 at the Open De Squash Banque Nationale Groupe Financier, with a fantastic performance at which he eliminated number one seed Hisham Mohd Ashour and went on to defeated former World Champion Thierry Lincou in the final, a victory that catapulted Tom into the World’s top 15 the following month.

Despite regular semi and final appearances, further titles eluded Tom until a wins over Welshman Joel Makin gained him victory at the Nash Cup in 2017 and the following year saw him beat Richie Fallons in the final of the 2018 Irish Squash Open, to claim his 6th PSA Tour title.
